The
Professional Educators Network is offering scholarships, classroom
mini-grants, and the Professional Educator of the Year Award
to teachers across the state. The deadline is October 1
for scholarships and grants, December 1 for Professional Educator
of the Year and all Florida K-12 teachers are encouraged to apply.
For
teacher scholarships, each candidate submits a resume and a short
application explaining how scholarship funds will help advance his
or her own professional career. For classroom mini-grants,
teachers submit a short application describing the proposed class
project, the necessary budget, and the academic benefit for students. Grants
range from $250 to $500 each. The Professional Educator of Year Award
is a $2500 Cash Award and recognizes an outstanding educator showing
excellence in their teaching methods.
